The team at Ashwell have been involved in recycling for over 50 years, but its only in the last 15 years that we have specialized in 
tropical hardwood reclamation and developing products to enable it to be reused. 
We are passionate about recycling and reuse of timber and need the help of specifies, designers and decision makers 
to help us bring about a change in thinking as to the use of reclaimed tropical hardwoods.

We are active members of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) which is an international body that seeks to promote good forest management throughout the World.  The FSC has developed specific performance standards for forest management which provide a framework for certification and includes the auditing of forests by independent certifiers on the basis of these principles.

What we can offer:

 We have in stock approximately 16,000 cubic meters of reclaimed hardwood and softwood timber salvaged from 
landfill sites, demolition jobs, lock gates and tree felling,
hardwood and softwood railway sleepers treated and untreated, crossing timbers,
telegraph poles, tree trunks up to 1.5mt diameter, large constructional timbers, 
350x350mmx12mt greenheart piles, to mention but a few.

 Our saw mill can produce timber to your specification, for construction purposes,
 landscaping, bridges, gates, fencing, and decking, or we can machine your own timbers arising from 
tree felling, demolition, sea defences etc.

 “WOODLOCK” is our own hardwood landscape AWARD WINNING building block system.

Its simple jointing technique means that the assembly of landscape features such as planters, steps, and retaining walls can be carried out in minutes to a prepared surface.
This retains flexibility allowing on site alterations and adjustments if required, as well as relocation if required at a future date. Using wooden dowels or high tensile studding with vandal proof fixings, this user-friendly extremely durable product can be utilized in many locations, and applications.

seating, planters, log benches and signage, all to your specification and designs from 
extremely durable Reclaimed Tropical and European hardwood timbers.
